Depend on what you are cooking. Some fish are awesome baked with potato's, others are good when they are fried.

I really dont use a hiking stick, but sure love using trekking poles. With bad knees and the constant pounding when descending a hill it sure takes some pressure off your joints.

To old to join the army. Plus I just reenlisted for 4 years in june. So will be stuck for a while. No education center on this little ship.

What would you guys do, if you were stuck on deployment (a ship) for 6 to 7 months. What would you do to get over not being able to camp, hike, fish, or anything that keeps you sane. I think I have read just about every outdoor mag thats available.

I always went camping as a kid, but I dont really think I enjoyed it until I joined the Navy and during vacation times back home me and my dad would pack up the Harleys and head out for a few days. That is when I really got into it. From there, its led to hiking, backpacking, kayaking.
