    Protection From Flies and Bees

I don't care much for the hats so I use the Avon Skin So Soft products and bug spray. I've not had any insect issues in a good while but I also try to avoid them as much as possible. :)

    Door Mat

What do you all use for door mats? We had some really thick felt (like what they use on paper machines for conveyor belts) but someone decided they wanted the piece we use for the walk area and took it. :( Any idea what might be large, heavy and thick which won't fall apart?

    Encountering ghosts?

I don't know that I would say I believe in ghosts or what have you but yes I do believe there are other things in this world that we cannot see. Whatever they may be, they haven't bothered me when camping. ;)

    Bigger Tent?

Oddly enough here in Oklahoma we don't usually have any problems finding flat places to setup but I can see where in some areas it would be an issue. You can find small tents in bulk buys for like 5-10 of them if you look around for bulk or wholesale prices. :)

    Wind Chap

I had a thin face mask that I wore for a while but it really started to bother me. I used lotion that was supposed to help prevent wind chap but obviously it isn't all that it claims to be. :(

    Have you tried noodling?

My husband thinks it is just awesome. I keep telling him one day he is going to reach off in there and an alligator or snake or some other creature is going to get him. I hate that he is into it now. So scary to me!

    Wind Chap

I knew there was a reason I quit hiking on cold, real cold, winter days! Talk about pain!?!?! My face got so chapped I could hardly make any type of facial expression without hurting!

    Bigger Tent?

I say make them wait it out and get one like we did, well we have several now actually. The big HUGE several room ones with a central dome center go on clearance every year after camping season weather passes. I know we have one that was just $30 originally about $200!

    Ready for Spring

This winter has been the worst for me. I've hauled and chopped more wood for personal use than I think I have any winter. I called natural gas solutions and they are going to send out a contractor to inspect our meter and okay a secondary line be added so I can have an infrared heater installed! lol

Would you let your daughter hunt?

My son completed hunter safety courses and testing when he was 4. He passed with flying colors. I do not know of any state having age limitations so long as the child is mature enough to understand and pass the test.

Would you let your daughter hunt?

I have been hunting since before I could remember even. Honestly, I think if you start your kids out like we have done while they are toddlers then it is okay no matter what age. I do not recommend taking a child who has never been around any guns or "scary woods" and let them go hunting right...

    Rock Climbing

I'm not sure that any of us really do much rock climbing but I hike a lot. I think I've gotten weak enough that the mountain my hurt me if I tried to climb on any rocks lol. This winter has set me back a bit!

    Spelunking

There are always things that you can do to train however I would say that if you are just starting out then maybe hiring a guide would be best. Not necessarily one of the lazy little tour guides that walk you around the cave but an ACTUAL guide. lol

    Feed Plots

Yes we do and yes I do. Actually I hunt any deer that falls into my path and is in season. I personally think that white tails are more exciting to hunt.

    Feed Plots

I've been watching the Outdoor Oklahoma channel and they have been showing so many feed plots that have been set up for this year and I cannot believe some of the bucks they are drawing in! I'm already getting excited lol!

    Open container law

I'm not sure exactly what the law specifies here in Oklahoma but I do know that I have read news posts about people getting open container tickets on many different occasions.

    Cooking over the open fire

My husband brought a stainless steel walking slab, like what they use in mills and large companies. He welded it onto some stainless tubing and made us a very durable grill. It is great!

Got my new rod and reel setup

They are a great brand and it should last you a good long while too. You will want to buy some other jigs and worms for bait and some various sized hooks too.

    Welcome Back looey ?

I was curious about this too. I really like the easy access to the common links and it only shows on the forum main page so after I log into my account and see my new posts and stats I just click the minimize button on the right top corner of the boarder.

Got my new rod and reel setup

Awesome! Did you end up getting the Shakespeare kit or what was it a Zebco? My memory isn't as good as it once was and I'm too lazy to try to figure out where I read about the one you mentioned lol.
