I'm glad I checked in here. We have someone that will be giving us some deer meat roast soon and I was wondering how the best way of cooking them would be. I think I will print out that recipe and give it a try.

We have had high eighties for several days but lately we got some (much) needed rain and now it is suppose to be in the twenties Sunday and Monday morning! So far it has been a mild winter which is a big change from the last two where we had some major fish kills. We are in Florida by the way.

This is something that I have never done. I guess living in Florida just doesn't give you much opportunity to do so. :) It does sound like it would be fun though and who knows, maybe one day we will just pack up and go where we can give it a try.

LoL, here I thought I was going to pop in here and learn how to cook a goose (if I ever came across one to cook that is). And I end up finding out how to eat cooked fruit! :)

I'm not real big on eating Venison but I do like the Back-strap. That I can cook ok, I just slice it up thin and fry it. It's the other parts that I have problems with cooking for some reason. How do some of you cook the roast and such to have them come out tender and flavorful?
