The only thing I didn't care for about the frog legs I ate was a slightly muddy taste in the 'juicy' parts of the leg. I think soaking them in milk would help eliminate this taste. Or BBqing them up like in that picture :)

Yup, after scrubbing a cast iron skillet you should re-season them with natural oil. Either animal shortening "the best" or real butter. Put it on the stove/fire until it starts smoking real good and let it cool.

If it's a fixed blade knife, you should be able to carry or have it on you no problem. Here in pa you can't have a folding blade knife larger than 5 inches iirc.
